Allianz Cornhill wanted to achieve environmental savings and so launched an environmental champion programme called “I love my planet”. After a successful launch to change the culture across the company, both measurable environmental and financial savings were made.


The Exercise

After a companywide launch and promotion of the waste minimisation campaign “I love my planet”, the volunteer environmental champions did well in promoting a culture change throughout the office. Even company business practices were changed for example, recycled material is used in car repairs where possible


Going further

The pilot scheme, run in Surrey headquarters, was so successful that there are plans to launch this company wide.

The national charity, Global Action Plan audited the results and showed the following results:
